Salesmanna has always been on the cutting edge of adding features that will create simplicity and value for users. We had to ask ourselves “what would make it easier to track calls for prospects?” The answer is found in our sleek phone integration feature. Let’s dive in for a look at what you can do.
One of the most frustrating things when you are on the road is to get a call from a prospect and not be able to track any information or remember what they said. With Salesmanna’s VoIP feature, you are able to record your conversations. These conversations are then stored in the contact record so you don’t miss a thing. Problem solved.
In our mobile app, you can very easily see your recent conversations. This is especially useful when you don’t have someone’s information stored in Salesmanna. Call logs are vital to your success with Salesmanna’s mobile experience.
With the Phone tab in Salesmanna’s mobile application, you can call someone much like you normally would. If you have someone’s number but they are not in Salesmanna yet, this makes a phone call easy.
Our desktop application’s phone functionality is a little more robust, allowing you to select more options for your phone calls. With this is the ability to delete or save the recorded call.
We’re not done yet!
In our mobile app’s “More” section, you’ll see a few options with which to expand your capabilities. The capstone of this is the import contacts feature. If you have Apple or Android devices, this feature is optimized specifically for you. When you click Import Contacts, you will see all of the local contacts on your phone. Then you will be given the option to individually select contacts or “Select All” to import everyone.

We are excited to have the new feature of being able to automatically create contacts from emails you send to your contacts. In this brief overview of the Contact Creation feature, you will find out the why, what, and how of what this feature will do for you.
Why is automatic contact creation such a big deal?
Our goal at Salesmanna is for everything to be accessed within a single pane. Automatic Contact Creation (and email sync) is a feature that will let you do this. We are really excited about being able to create contacts from emails sync’d into Salesmanna. Essentially, when you authorize one of your accounts (for instance, an Office 365 user account), you are allowing Salesmanna to Create a new contact and pull in all of the emails from this user.
What difference does it make to you?
When you use this feature, it take the pain out of having to individually create contacts, go into your conversations, or copying/pasting any correspondence. Your frustrations are gone with this new feature! We have developed this feature with the user in mind, to increase productivity and decrease time and effort.
How do I go about setting this up?
To set up Automatic Contact Creation, go into Account Settings -> App Integrations. If you see the below snapshot, there is a checkbox that says “Create Contacts?” Make sure this is checked. After this step, prepare for the emails to start rolling in!
The good news? Your privacy is highly regarded. If you have confidential information where you don’t want the conversation to show up in Salesmanna, you have an “email privacy” field. This allows everything to be blocked out from viewing when you are on the contact form. Even if the contact is shared with your team, they are not able to see anything they aren’t supposed to.

-Personal Information Management
The PIM section is an all-in-one hub for you to check your appointments, mail, and tasks for the day. The calendar default view is “Month” view, so you can get a 30,000 ft. view on your month. You can easily schedule appointments, calls, emails, and various other activities in one pane. You can send emails, put deadlines on your tasks, and check things off your list when you are done.
This is where you start to see how Salesmanna is a simple CRM. You can perform most necessary sales functions in the Contact List section. This will show you what companies and contacts on which you are calling. You can easily drill down to create an email, call a contact (and record the call!) from Salesmanna, and schedule a meeting.
Salesmanna has a simple Expenses section which will help to lower your administrative time and cost. There is an individual user section for your own expenses, and a manager can see the expense overview to approve outstanding expenses. This can include mileage, meals, airfare, entertainment, and many more categories. For opportunity cost tracking, you can attach your expenses to a contact to make it easier.
-Reporting on opportunities
The most important thing for your sales team and your manager is to know where your opportunities stand. Our Opportunities section will allow you to filter by close %, Owner, Opportunity, and other custom fields that you can set.
As a manager, you have access to a group of pre-built reports, but can also create one based on existing fields. If our reporting console gets too complicated, reach out! We would love to help you get the information that will propel your organization.
Our Teams section will allow you to share contact information that may be sensitive or role-specific. As an admin, you can simply invite users to be a part of your group, or request access if you do not “own” the group rights.
To collaborate on a specific contact, you can tag one of your team members in a conversation. This will send them an email from our workflow with the comments. This feature is a great way to keep everyone in one spot!

The end of a year is often a time to reflect. It’s in the spirit of this season that I use to think about success that I’ve had, while I also look forward to celebrating the holidays with loved ones. It’s also a chance to think about where I’d like to be in the year ahead.
This year, I’ve had amazing experiences that have helped me to become the best seller I can be, and I owe a lot of thanks to many customers, friends, and mentors who have supported me, including the Salesmanna team. My colleagues are an amazing group of individuals who work towards the unending goal of product improvement. Even when a feature works well, they’re always working to make it easier, quicker, and more practical than before. It’s that kind of drive that makes an impact for Salesmanna users. It’s not just having great software… it’s having a team behind you that supports your efforts. It’s about buying you more time to do what matters most: selling.
The greatest impact that the Salesmanna product has made for me is the fact that I could use it quickly and see its value right away. I didn’t have to put a lot of time into getting started because the software is intuitive for users. I spent a short amount of time getting established and a lot more time getting out there selling. Salesmanna’s incredible features have saved me so much time. I love that I can import business cards by taking a picture with the card scanner on my phone. I love that I can track my mileage just by turning on the Salesmanna app and beginning the tracking. I love how the app interfaces with my phone to log my work activities through text, phone, and email. That’s less time I spend typing and more time I spend selling. I love that this software works from anywhere as a SaaS-based product. Salesmanna doesn’t slow me down: it moves with me, and it creates the platform for my success.

If sales was considered to be an activity where everything happens in a streamline fashion – meaning that the exact number of calls equaled the exact number of appointments needed to make the exact amount of sales to reach your specified sale goal – then everyone could do it…right?
There are times when it might be hard to measure what activities lead to being most successful. But there are definitely strong correlations between action and success. Weeks where I had the most balance in my activity – between what was in my funnel and what steps I took to move customers through the pipeline – produced the most measurable results.
Some weeks, I was so busy that it was hard to keep track of all the things I did. And, after a demanding week, who wants to fill out a report? This is why I LOVE Salesmanna’s new Activity Board. I could not be more excited to share how this program feature produces your results in a format that is easy to understand and review. As long as activity is entered, it will help both sellers and managers to see clearly what’s working, and where adjustments may need to be made.
Sellers can access their activity by logging into Salesmanna and clicking “Activity” on the left-hand menu. The Activity Board will quickly load and show all activity starting with the most recent efforts. You can view just specific activity types, such as outgoing calls, conversations, e-mails sent or received, meetings or texts. You can also sort activity based on assigned asset tags, such as looking at activity related to specific campaigns, or you can filter activity by date, to show progress or achievements on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis, or for a longer length of time.
For managers, you can view any of these reports for an individual user OR your entire team by selecting the user(s) you’d like to see in your report. Every filter option is designed to see how the overall funnel looks for your team and how the cumulative efforts relate to performance and goals.
It couldn’t be easier to get a fair assessment of where you stand with Salesmanna, and it saves time by completing reports for you – as long as you enter your activity in a timely fashion.
